Bully The Bookie - 09/12

2019-2020 Bully The Bookie
NCAAF: 3-3
NFL: 0-3-1
FOOTBALL TOTAL: 3-6-1 (33.3%)
Off to a shaky start this season. But last year I was 57.8% (60% if you round up), so roll the dice with me on this bounce back week.
Stanford Cardinals (1-1, 1-1 ATS) @ #17 UCF Knights (2-0, 2-0 ATS)
Bright House Networks Stadium, Orlando, FL
Saturday, September 14th, 2019 3:30 PM
Spread: UCF -7.5, O/U: 61
UCF fans are hopeful they will repeat another undefeated season and compete for a national title. I hate to break the bad news but another perfect season wouldn't even do it. The NCAA would have to change their format but that is neither here nor there. As for their third week opponents from Cali, Stanford is solid this year but 3 hour time difference to play in Florida in UCF’s barn will be too much to handle.
PICK: UCF -7.5

#19 Iowa Hawkeyes (2-0, 1-1 ATS) @ Iowa State Cyclones (1-0, 0-1 ATS)
Jack Trice Stadium, Ames, IO
Saturday, September 14th, 2019 4 PM
Spread: Iowa -2, O/U: 44.5
Battle of the Hawkeye State. You know all 12 000 people in the state of Iowa will be in attendance for this one. Lately, the matchup has been one sided with the Hawkeyes winning and covering the spread in the last four meetings. I don't see it much different this year as this Hawkeye team has stingy D and runs the ball effectively.
PICK: Iowa -2

#1 Clemson Tigers (2-0, 1-1 ATS) @ Syracuse Orange (1-1, 1-1 ATS)
Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY
Saturday, September 14th, 2019 7:30 PM
Spread: Clemson -28, O/U: 62.5
One of my few winners last week was against the Orange and I think I have them figured out. They stink. They gave up 62 points last week to Maryland, a team that can't even hang with the defending champs. Clemson is an offensive juggernaut led by QB Trevor Lawrence. Trev will lead his team to 50+ points making the total too small.
PICK: TOTAL POINTS OVER 62.5

Texas Tech Red Raiders (2-0, 1-0-1 ATS) @ Arizona Wildcats (1-1, 0-2 ATS)
Arizona Stadium, Tucson, AZ
Saturday, September 14th, 2019 10:30 PM
Spread: Texas Tech -2, O/U: 77
Another shootout in the opposite end of the country. Down in the desert, I’m expecting a triple digit point total. The Wildcats and Red Raiders could put up a TD per quarter against anyone in the country and they can also allow one every quarter to any team in the country. Both teams currently rank in the top 25 in passing yards per game and yards per play.
PICK: TOTAL POINTS OVER 77

Buffalo Bills (1-0, 1-0 ATS) @ New York Giants (0-1, 0-1 ATS)
MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
Sunday, September 15th, 2019 1 PM
Spread: Bills -1.5, O/U: 43.5
In week one action, the Bills had the Jets by over 200 yards in the game. Josh Allen's four turnovers was the sole reason the game was within one. It’s oddly impressive that Buffalo turned over the ball that much and still stand 1-0. The Giants team didn’t shock anyone. They lost by 3 points and will likely lose by 3 points at home this week.
PICK: Bills -1.5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New Orleans Saints (1-0, 0-1 ATS) @ Los Angeles Rams (1-0, 1-0 ATS)
Los Angeles Memorial Stadium, Los Angeles, CA
Sunday, September 15th, 2019 4:25 PM
Spread: Rams -3, O/U: 52.5
This NFC championship rematch should have a prop bet on how much the announcers will mention "Worst call in NFL history," after last year's blown call. The call was brutal and it did force the NFL to re-write the rule book but it's time to move on. This will be a huge revenge game for the Saints. Take the points. Saints should win outright.
PICK: Saints +3
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chicago Bears (0-1, 0-1 ATS) @ Denver Broncos (0-1, 0-1 ATS)
Broncos Stadium at Mile High, Denver, CO
Sunday, September 15th, 2019 4:25 PM
Spread: Bears -2.5, O/U: 40.5
The Bears left me extremely disappointed after last weeks performance. The Bears had multiple delay of game penalties combined with multiple false start penalties; absolute embarrassment for a team that was 12-4 a year ago. Broncos offense was no different and it is clear that Joe Flacco is not the answer for Denver. However, Bears are a stronger team and have an extra three day rest because of last week's schedule. Very advantageous in the NFL.
PICK: Bears -2.5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cleveland Browns (0-1, 0-1 ATS) @ New York Jets (0-1, 0-1 ATS)
MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
Monday, September 16th, 2019 8:15 PM
Spread: Browns -2.5, O/U: 45
Put the pressure-filled week one performance of the Browns aside. The headlines and hype caught up to Cleveland, just like swapping spit with too many babes caught up to the young 22 year old QB on the Jets. Sam Darnold was diagnosed with mono this week and will be sitting out several games for New York. This will allow you to double down on this game since Baker and the Brownies will be bouncing back the same way The Bookie Bully will this week.
PICK: Browns -2.5
